D.O.A. Room Escape Review (The Garage)

So what do I have to say after visiting D.O.A.'s The Garage? Well to start I can say that I had a good time as I always do and I enjoyed most of it. They are located in Addison, IL and I gotta say they had some original ideas I have yet to see in any other escape rooms. The staff was friendly and I really enjoyed the look of the lobby area as well as inside the room. An employee will be in the room with you during your game, which can be strange at first but I just try and have fun with it. The only thing that I disliked about The Garage was that some of the clues were too difficult for the average person to figure out. Especially with the lack of clues, it is just too difficult. I believe this has something to do with the fact that you receive shirts for escaping. Although, i would like to see they incorporate some sort of clue system. I would rather escape and experience the full room than get a shirt. So an idea could be to give people the option of asking for clues, but if they do then they don't get a shirt. So D.O.A. I hope you're reading this because I believe that could be a great idea. Other than that the room was great. The use of props added a nice touch to the room as well. This was also one of the escape rooms (such as The Room Lisle) that did not need fancy technology to be a good and fun escape room. I recommend this escape room but NOT if it is your first room escape game. If you have done an escape room before then you definitely want to give this one a try. It has been a few months since I visited D.O.A. but I really hope they will add some sort of clue system. Until then ill give it a 7/10. Go check it out for yourselves and let me know what you think! and remember... ESCAPE!
